Following a successful inaugural retreat at Yellowstone, CIO Ascent is bringing technology executives together again for an extraordinary experience among the red rock canyons of southern Utah.
May 12–16, 2027 | Zion National Park | St. George, Utah
Registration is officially open for CIO Ascent's Spring 2027 executive retreat at Zion National Park!
Following an unforgettable inaugural gathering at Yellowstone National Park in September, CIO Ascent is preparing to bring together another exceptional group of technology leaders for five days of adventure, meaningful connections, and time to recharge in one of America's most breathtaking landscapes.
The upcoming retreat represents another exciting chapter for CIO Ascent, a nationwide community created to bring Chief Information Officers together beyond the traditional boundaries of executive networking.
A Different Kind of Executive Experience
Technology leaders carry extraordinary responsibilities. From driving innovation and digital transformation to navigating the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence, the demands of executive leadership rarely slow down.
CIO Ascent was created around a simple belief: The people responsible for leading organizations into the future deserve opportunities to step away, recharge, and build relationships with others who understand the challenges they face.
Our retreats intentionally move away from traditional conferences. There are no keynote presentations, panel discussions, or crowded exhibition halls.
Instead, we bring together a carefully selected group of fellow CIOs to explore America's National Parks, share experiences, and develop genuine friendships that extend well beyond the retreat.
The Next Adventure: Zion National Park
Set against the towering sandstone cliffs and remarkable landscapes of southern Utah, our Spring 2027 retreat will offer an unforgettable combination of outdoor adventure, genuine connection, and personal renewal.
Based in St. George, Utah, the experience will include:
- Six guided hikes throughout Zion National Park and the surrounding landscapes, with options for varying experience levels.
- An evening beneath the stars, taking advantage of southern Utah's extraordinary night skies.
- Exceptional dining and shared experiences, creating opportunities for meaningful conversations and lasting friendships.
- A carefully curated group of no more than 60 CIOs, preserving the personal connections that define our community.
- Greater flexibility and time outdoors, incorporating valuable feedback from members following our inaugural Yellowstone retreat.
Every aspect of the experience is designed around what matters most: the people, the relationships, and the opportunity to return home with renewed perspective.

Building Something That Lasts
CIO Ascent is about much more than the destinations we visit.
Our mission is to cultivate an enduring community of technology executives who support one another, share experiences, and inspire each other to reach new heights.
Membership is completely free, and we remain committed to helping remove financial barriers that might otherwise prevent qualified executives from participating.
Giving back is equally important. Each retreat supports the National Parks and surrounding communities that make these experiences possible, reinforcing our belief that the places that bring us together deserve our appreciation and support.
